Bet many people experienced that before, but it was my foremost experience yesterday. Haha
Slipped through the train doors, panting and breathing heavily. :/
I don't have this habit of rushing like a mad dog for buses/trains whatever.
Don't get why people like to be a kanchiong spider and run for public transport.
Somemore its like when you dash frantically for the bus, you lose all forms of grace.
To me it looks like an ugly sight when people are dressed to kill, yet once they start running for the bus, they look like chickens/ducks 'flapping their arms' insanely.
It's as though they're never gonna catch sight of the bus again.
Okaay, I know many people are going to critisize me for thinking in this manner, because there're many exceptions,
for e.g LATENESS, LAST BUS/TRAIN - NO $$ TO CAB, TIME IS PRECIOUS blahblah.
1. Being late - understandable
Sometimes, I admit that I've got pretty much no sense of urgency even till the very last minute, or even when I'm late.
Yes, but Miss LATE QUEEN here is unduly trying to compel herself to restrain this SUPER BAD HABIT.
2. Last bus/train - also understandable
Who would want to waste $$ on cab fare when there's public transport available?
If able to catch the last bus/train and save like 5 bucks and more, yeah why not man.
I won't hesitate to admit that thyself also scrimps and saves by taking buses to different destinations and changing bus routes to catch last bus etc. Still much cheaper than hailing a cab, furthermore, I've got bus concession hehehe :)
3. Time is precious - Debatable
Okay, its widely known that time is almost equivalent or even more precious than gold. Once lost, its useless to await its return.
If you're rushing for time, it's definitely precious.
However, if you're not, THEN CHASE BUSES FOR WHAT.
Like me, I use the spare time when interchanging buses to study/read a book or something.
At least do sth useful!
Saves you from the heaving and panting of running after a bus, saves you from being hot and sticky, saves you from a palpitating heart and being breathless, AND ALLOWS YOU TO SIT DOWN, RELAX, CATCH UP ON NEWS/STUFF whateva.
Isn't that better? :)
P/s: Okay before you start to think bad about me, THIS IS ONLY MY OWN OPINION GUYS. Not saying you have to follow my style in doing things. Different people different methods I KNOW.
Like how some would say they prefer to use the LOST TIME to chill at home instead, where they could have done sth more productive.
BY ALL MEANS GO AHEAD. I'M JUST VOICING MY VIEWS.
Pp/s: Oh, and for those people who like rushing for trains. WHYYYY? Train doors in Singapore close so fast, IT'S SUPER DANGEROUS YOU KNOW!
I've seen people slip through closing doors and encounter many close shaves with getting trapped.
Just scares the hell outta me.
Cannot imagine if any limbs of theirs get stuck and the train just rambles onwards to the next destination without the driver's taking any notice. YUCK.
Heading out towards me grandma's house now!
Will probably post pictures of yesterday's bbq later/tmr, depending on when Ethan uploads it.
Once again, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Jasper and Ethan! :)
