Flat feet

I think I suddenly have some kind of compulsive health disorder!
Getting paranoid over lots of health related stuff.
You know, I think I'm ageing much faster than I'd like.
AND THAT IS A VERY VERY BAD SIGN.

I'm starting to worry about things like FLAT FOOT, BLADDER/KIDNEY STONES/DIESEASES.

Aiyooooooo.

I've been living for 17 years before realising now that I HAVE FLAT FOOT.

I've always thought my feet were arched, never encountered any difficulties wearing heels when young!
I was like a super vainpot then, cannot leave house without my favourite pair of red heels. Still can remember how it looks like lor! And I remember the brand - TRAACE!
Not sure if that brand is still around though. A decade ago! Haha.

Started suspecting flat foot problems when I dread wearing heels.
Dread to the extent that if a piece of clothing I don requires pairing with heels, I will change out! It can be that bad at times.
Cos heels always make my feet fucking pain!
And its not only those like shoe too tight, causing blisters to form kinda pain; its also the PAIN OF TRYING TO BALANCE on heels.
Like somehow walking in heels always makes my feet feel distorted.

I have worn heels long enough to be able to run in them, but I have always found an obstacle in trying to get my feet to grip the heels!
My feet always seem to slip outwards due to the high shoe arch, so it presses towards the front of the shoe, and causes huge pressure and blisters to form.
AND ITS UGLY!
If i were to wear those peep-toe heels, my toes stick out sorely. UGH. :(
So poor people like me have to constantly be self conscious and try to wiggle my feet back into place.
SIGHS.

DONT YOU PEOPLE STARE AT MY FEET WHEN IM WEARING PEEP-TOE HEELS AH! :S:S

Sourced from "http://seniorhealth.about.com/od/footconditions/a/flat_feet.htm"

"It is important for people with foot pain to know if they have flat feet. The following tests can help you determine your arch type:
  1. Footprint Test: When you get out of a swimming pool, look at your footprint on the concrete. The front of the foot will be joined to the heel by a strip. If your foot is flat, then the strip is the same width as the front of the foot, creating a footprint that looks like a stretched out pancake. With a normal arch, the strip is about half the width of the front of the foot. If you have a high arch, only a thin strip connects the front of the foot with the heel.
  2. Shoe evaluation: Put your shoes on a flat table and view them at eye level from behind. See if the sole is worn evenly. A flat foot will cause more wear on the inside of the sole, especially in the heel area. The shoe will easily rock side to side. A flat foot will also cause the upper part of the shoe to lean inward over the sole. Both shoes should wear about the same way."

I HAVE ALL THOSE SYMPTOMS!  ROAR D:D:D:
NO WONDER THE SOLES OF MY HEELS ALWAYS SEEM TO WEAR OUT QUICKLY!
AND WHEN I WAS YOUNGER, AFTER SWIMMING, MY FOOTPRINT WOULD APPEAR SUPER BIG AND FLAT ON THE CONCRETE :(

And the last 3 things to confirm you have flat feet:
1. If the width of the instep (AB) at its widest part is less than 1cm, the foot is considered as flat (right). If the width of the footprint at its narrowest part (BC) is less than 1cm, the arch is considered high (center). All other footprints are considered "normal" (left).

Adapted from "The Influence of Footwear on the Prevalence of Flat Foot," The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery, 74B(4), 1992, pp. 525-527.

2. Place you feet firmly on the ground and TAKE A PICTURE LA.
Pictures tell you everything you need i guess. ^^
But I won't be uploading a picture of my own feet cos its too hideous.

3. (my own guessing) People with flat feet have problems running long distances cos we tire easily. Or cannot run fast. Idk, THAT'S JUST MY OWN THEORY AH.
Since young, I've detested running cos I run SUPER SIMILAR TO SLOWPOKE'S SPEED, and don't have proper stamina too! Okay my stamina's better than my "sprinting" but not much better off. HAHA.

AND SO, IT IS CONFIRMED THAT I HAVE FLAT FEET COS IT FITS INTO ALL THE CRITERIA ABOVE!
No wonder i am always complaining more than others about pain in wearing heels!
Tested every method to confirm I've flat feet.
Positive results. FML.

Time to chuck those heels aside? SAD LAAAA.
PEOPLE it doesn't mean I've lost my femininity alright!
Only lost my delight in wearing heels.  A WOMAN'S DELIGHT! :(
Now considering investing in birkenstocks for comfort! :D

P/s: I wonder if all girls out there with flat foot have a problem with heels too? :(
Pp/s: Is flat feet heriditary? What are the chances man.
